This orchestra provides students with the opportunity to continue developing advanced skills necessary for future success in high school orchestra ensembles. Classroom instruction involves expanding technique, introduction to upper positions, developing vibrato, improving tone quality, learning various bowing styles, and building sight-reading skills. This is a competing orchestra at the varsity level. Placement in this ensemble is determined by audition.
UIL Orchestra and festival contest participation is required. Additional performance opportunities include All-Region Orchestra (audition required) and the Keller ISD Orchestra Solo/Ensemble Festival (required). Participation in private lessons is strongly encouraged.

This is a competing orchestra at the non-varsity level. Placement in this ensemble is determined by audition.

This orchestra provides students with the opportunity to develop fundamental skills necessary for future success at the intermediate level. This class is designed for students who have no prior string experience. An audition is not required to enroll in this ensemble.
Classroom instruction begins with basic setup, introductory playing techniques, and learning to read standard music notation. Participation in private lessons is strongly encouraged.
