Instrument Maintenance
Instrument Maintenance
Students playing a school-owned instrument are expected to care for them as if they were their own. Students are not allowed to play instruments they do not own or personally have checked out. All instruments should be stored in a case when not in use.
DO NOT ATTEMPT INSTRUMENT REPAIRS ON YOUR OWN. Any school-owned instrument in need of repair must be brought to the director for assessment. Students will be responsible for any damage outside of “normal use” (including misuse or carelessness) and will assume the cost of repairs. If the instrument is lost or stolen, it is the student’s responsibility to pay for an equivalent replacement as selected by the district.
